Enhancing nutrition outcomes through food support and micronutrient initiatives.
Nutritional Food Kit Distribution Initiatives
Supporting Students to Build Strong Mental Health and Emotional Strength
Gram Vikas Trust implemented targeted Nutritional Food Kit Distribution programmes to address the urgent nutrition needs of vulnerable groups, including children with SAM/MAM and pregnant and lactating women, reaching a total of 718 beneficiaries across Bharuch and Ankleshwar regions. In collaboration with 83 Anganwadi Workers, the initiative provided essential nutritional support to improve child growth, strengthen maternal health, and reduce the risks associated with malnutrition, ensuring better health outcomes for high-risk communities.

Salt Fortification Interventions
Promoting Healthier Communities Through Fortified Salt Awareness
Double Fortified Salt Programme
This initiative was designed to promote the use of salt fortified with both iodine and iron at the household level. Implementation involved sensitizing the community about the
importance of micronutrient intake and supporting access to fortified salt through community-based channels.
Through the Universal Salt Iodization Programme, coordinated efforts with ICDS and Health Departments strengthened supply systems, built frontline worker capacity, and ensured consistent use of iodized salt across ICDS centres and households.
