Enabling economic independence through skill development, women-led enterprises, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural and tribal communities.
Vocational Skill Development for Youth Adolescents
Empowering youth with skills for sustainable livelihoods.
The Vocational Skill Development Programme focuses on equipping youth and adolescents from rural, tribal, and underprivileged communities with practical, market-relevant skills to enhance their employability and income opportunities. The programme offers structured training in areas such as sewing and tailoring, beautician skills, jewellery making, and basic computer and digital skills. Each training module emphasizes hands-on learning, industry-oriented techniques, and essential life skills, enabling participants to become job-ready and empowering them to pursue self-employment or secure wage-based employment, thereby supporting their journey toward sustainable and dignified livelihoods.

Women-Led Enterprise: ASANI Sanitary Pad Manufacturing Unit
Empowering Women with Skills, Income, and Entrepreneurial Opportunities
The ASANI Sanitary Pad Manufacturing Unit is a women-led livelihood initiative managed by tribal women from Bharuch and Narmada districts, creating sustainable income opportunities while promoting menstrual health awareness. This micro-enterprise produces affordable sanitary pads and has empowered women with skills in production, quality control, packaging, and basic enterprise management. By enabling women with limited formal education to take ownership and leadership roles, the initiative has supported their transition from informal labor to dignified entrepreneurship, strengthening their financial independence and social empowerment.
Livelihood Support through Skill-linked Empowerment
Transforming skills into sustainable income and dignified livelihoods.
The Livelihood Support through Skill-linked Empowerment initiative goes beyond technical training by fostering confidence, leadership, financial literacy, and work discipline among youth and women, enabling a smooth transition from learning to sustainable income generation while promoting community acceptance of women’s economic participation. This approach ensures livelihoods that are socially sustainable, economically viable, and locally rooted. Cumulatively, the programme has conducted over 25 vocational training batches, benefiting more than 800 youth and adolescents, including 250 in sewing, 200 in beautician training, 100 in jewellery making, and 50 in computer skills. Additionally, the women-led ASANI Sanitary Pad Manufacturing Unit supports 11 women entrepreneurs across Bharuch and Narmada districts, creating regular income opportunities and strengthening leadership. The programme currently covers Bharuch and Vadodara districts, with a strong focus on tribal and rural communities, contributing to long-term livelihood security and economic empowerment.
