Strengthening early childhood care by improving Anganwadi infrastructure and creating safe, child-friendly learning environments.

In 2024–25, infrastructure development efforts were undertaken in partnership with Sun Pharma to enhance early childhood learning environments by upgrading an Anganwadi centre in Ankleshwar. The intervention included essential civil repairs, installation of child-friendly furniture and learning corners, safe flooring, improved sanitation, and secure storage facilities for supplementary nutrition supplies. Implemented in close coordination with Anganwadi Workers and community representatives, the initiative ensured that the upgraded facilities met operational needs and child safety standards. This renovation directly benefited 90 children and approximately 90 households, while also engaging 3 frontline Anganwadi Workers. The improved infrastructure created a safer and more engaging learning space, strengthened the reliability of nutrition service delivery, increased staff motivation, and built greater community trust, resulting in improved attendance and a more supportive environment for early childhood development.
